Each spring, BBF hosts a 5.7K run event to raise funds for its PALS (People Living with ALS) grants program and to honor O.J. Brigance’s jersey number 57.  The event features a 5.7K race but for non-racers, it includes a 1.5 Mile Walk, a childen’s Fun Run, and if you can’t attend, you can race virtually in your own time and location through a Virtual Run sign-up. 

At the after race cool-down, we encourage people to stay and partake of a variety of food offerings or a delicious lunch served up by Jimmy’s Seafood.  Also on offer is the Kid’s Adventure Zone—face painting, rock climbing, sack races, and mobile video gaming.  For the adults, there are the race awards ceremonies, good music, and iced beverages—and an opportunity to kick back and socialize.
