Hello Brigance Brigade supporters,

Chanda and I hope this letter finds you well and thriving as we begin this holiday season. The Brigance Brigade Foundation turned fifteen this year marking a significant milestone in our existence. This year, 2023 also marked the 16th year of our own ALS journey. When we decided to step out in faith in 2008, we had little idea of the tremendous work we would accomplish with the support of dedicated supporters like yourself.

In the ALS community, we not only celebrate what others consider big milestones but also the smallest victories are cause for celebration. Small feats such as getting outside on a beautiful day. Or going to the grocery store, or a day of shopping with family during the holiday season.

One particularly touching milestone was that the Brigance Brigade was able to assist the Kerner family to make home modifications so that April Kerner could see her children– Ryker, Jax, and Ava –off on their first day of school. Many take these significant yet simple milestones for granted in everyday life. For those of us battling ALS, every day is a gift to be cherished for its opportunity and simplicity.

As you make plans for your year-end giving, we hope you will think of us and help us make more of these everyday milestones a possibility for the families we have the privilege to serve.
